Explanation of the parameters of the foil
Central Europe – average 1000 kWh/m2
Southern Croatia – average 1680 kWh/m2
Southern Spain – average 2100 kWh/m2
In Central Europe , the investment costs of installing the sun protection film pay off in one year.
SUNLIGHT REJECTION
SUNLIGHT REJECTION – Total reduction of sunlight
Example:
Good companies’ external roller shutters reduce up to 91% of the heat entering inside, darkening the room and limiting the visibility at the same time. The Silver Premium sun protection film reduces incoming heat by up to 86%.
One of the most important parameters for calculating the size of the air conditioner is the area of the windows and their location towards the sun. Above you can see how much WAT heat the sun gives per 1 m2 of window in
Central Europe (for Poland, Germany, the Netherlands) South Croatia
Example on windows:
If the building has 4 windows with dimensions of 1m x 2m on the South side, then the number of WAT heat windows flowing through the windows will be calculated as 2m2x4 = 8m2
8m2 x 350W = 2800W.
If we install the Silver Premium sun protection film,
it is 2800W -86% = 392W
8m2 x 590W = 4720W.
If we install the Silver Premium sun protection film,
it is 2800W -86% = 660W
LIGHT TRANSMISSION
The above shows the visible light transmittance for individual cases – (from the left) a wall with an opening without a window, a wall with a window, a wall with a double window, a wall with a window divided by muntins, a wall with a window covered with Neutral foil.
The greater the parameter, the greater the light transmittance
– but do we really need it? is it healthy?
Examples of lighting levels:
Illuminance in lux
- 32000–130000 Direct sunlight
- 10,000–25,000 Clear day (but not direct sunlight)
- 1000 Cloudy day
- 500 Office lighting in accordance with EN 12464
- 400 Sunrise or sunset on a clear day
- 320 Australia office lighting recommended. Minimum level for comfortable reading
- 100 A dark cloudy day.
- 80 Corridor / toilet lighting
- 50 Family room
In regions with high insolation and building glazing, reducing the light intensity only positively affects the comfort of living.
For rooms with little sunlight, and with small windows where the room is semi-dark, we have much brighter films in our offer, not included in the table.
GUARANTEE
We provide a warranty of 2 to 5 years for the foil and assembly. Depending on the type of foil.
Warranty adjusted to insolation in the southern part of Europe.
For the same films in Central Europe – France, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Czechoslovakia, etc., the films have a warranty of up to 7 years.
Installation example
- location: Croatia; Supetar; Waterman Beach Village; Bungalow F10
- installation date July 2, 2022
- 4 windows (5.5 m2) on the North-West side; 3 windows (0.95 m2) South-East
- Neutral sun protection foil installed
- The cost of air conditioning electricity consumption after installation of the foil is 7.8kWh / 24h with normal use of the bungalow by guests. Meter connected to the air conditioner.
Monthly 7.8kWh x 30 days is 234kWh / month x 1.17kWh / kWh (business rate) = 273 kuna
